Steel, aluminum and mirror.

Natural silk organza: 20cm x different heights.
Anilines and gold foil.

This is the first piece in my series RAINING PRAYERS. It is inspired by the Tibetan prayer banners. I chose natural silk organza because of its strong symbolic value , being historically linked to rites of passage in the lives of women. But also because its transparency and stiffness are the ideal support to make my brush-strokes look as if they were painted on air.
